AboutWelcome to Boozebenders.
This is a community for fans of the Nickelodeon cartoon, "Avatar: The Last Airbender." It is unique in being notionally restricted to people who (in a few states, at least) can legally consume alcohol.
There are plenty of reasons for this, but there's no need to start bashing the "tween" and teenage fans of Avatar, bless their adorable little hearts. But sometimes the grown-ups need a place to drown their sorrows and scrawl their rants, and curse like longshoremen when the need arises.
You know, whatever.
Also, we might be somewhat more capable of distinguishing "they're" from "there" from "their," but honestly that would just be a bonus.

atlaforgrownups fulfills that need nicely, and I like the discussion/meta niche that we fill, because it keeps us free from a bunch of messy stuff that fandom tends to get into. (Shipping wars, for example.) Post whatever discussion or meta that you want --- speculation, rants, Avatar-themed mixed-drink recipes—but if it's long or big, put it behind a cut tag.
